Amy Norris - Director, Global Accounts
Having worked both sides of the meetings industry, Amy Norris is uniquely qualified to handle win-win negotiations on behalf of her clients with hotels. Prior to joining Helms Briscoe (HB), she owned a full service meeting planning company for sixteen years and worked in the hotel industry for ten years. As a meeting planner, she managed all aspects of meetings, conventions, trade shows and special events that ranged in size from 10 - 10,000 people. Some of the industries that Amy has worked with are education, environment, medical, transportation, construction, energy, finance and international diplomacy. She is passionate about learning her client’s organization and joining their team to help produce memorable, productive and cost effective meetings. Amy resides and works in the Washington, DC area. Work and education have given her the opportunity to work, travel and study in all regions of the United States as well as Europe, Canada, Bermuda and Latin America. She grew up in New Orleans and also lived in the Netherlands after college. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/ Marketing, with additional studies in Meeting Planning; Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management.
