Caren joined HelmsBriscoe in 2001 and has enjoyed a steady pace of growth in her meetings and business. Caren works with corporations and associations to find the perfect destination for their meetings. She enjoys being part of a professional meetings procurement company like HelmsBriscoe who supplies her with all the tools to expedite the site selection process for her Clients. The details may involve not only finding the correct hotel, but transportation, entertainment, contract negotiation, housing and registration and meeting management. Caren's Clients are very grateful to be able to outsource the site selection process and receive a prompt answer on rates, date availability and the locations available. Before joining HelmsBriscoe, Caren was an independent meeting planner for fourteen years. She was a development director for a nonprofit association in Washington, D.C. where she organized events for the purpose of fundraising. Caren also organized events for churches and schools. Prior to event planning, Caren started her career in NYC where she enjoyed a career in the fashion industry in the areas of sales and marketing. Her career took her to such prestigious firms as Jaeger, Ann Taylor and enjoying eight years with Estee Lauder cosmetics as a regional marketing director controlling $10 million profit and loss for the company and managing an eight state territory. Caren has received President's Club awards from HelmsBriscoe for her sales in room productivity for the years 2010-2017.
