Deborah Oates joined HelmsBriscoe in January 2014 as a global venue expert.
She utilizes her 10 years hotel industry background and her international lifestyle in order to find the best suitable venue for her corporate and association meeting planners.
Working for HelmsBriscoe and being part of this global and dynamic network gives her the opportunity to assist clients from all over the world. She is very passionate and creative with her work. Her commitment to see a job from start to finish and her self-motivated entrepreneurship helped in realizing many successful corporate events on an international level. She offers assistance with hotel or venue contract negotiations, RFP development and additional supplier sourcing if required.
Deborah studied Tourism Business Administration in Germany. Through her fascination of the hotel management sector, she left Germany to gain her practical experience abroad. Thus, she spent two years at the Holiday Inn, Sheffield. In 2006, she worked for the 5 star Crown Plaza in Beijing. Another two years later, she returned to Germany and worked as a Catering Manager at the 5 star Intercontinental Hotel, Berlin. Here she discovered her passion, event management, and since 2010 she is self-employed as a full time event manager with heart and soul.
