Flavio Martinez

Flavio Martinez joined HelmsBriscoe in August of 2001 and is based out of HelmsBriscoe's global headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona. As a proven team leader, Flavio leads two separate global teams of HelmsBriscoe Associates for two Fortune 100 accounts. His experience and knowledge of the corporate meetings and events business has allowed him to collaborate on the development and implementation of corporate-wide Strategic Meetings Management programs for his corporate clients. A partnership with Flavio and his teams allows for significant time-savings for all meeting and event stakeholders. By utilizing Flavio as a strategic hotel and venue sourcing partner that provides scalable resources, clients have saved thousands of dollars annually in M&E spend, often times including internal headcount costs.

With nearly 30 years in the hotel group sales arena, Flavio's career in the hospitality industry included positions in hotel operations and sales leadership, among them, Director of National Accounts and Director of Sales & Marketing. During his tenure with HelmsBriscoe, Flavio has been a multiple-year recipient of the President's Club award and the Master's Club award, which is awarded to top producers in the company. In addition, Flavio received the prestigious HelmsBriscoe Hall of Fame award, as well as the Associate of the Year award, which is voted on by HelmsBriscoe’s hotel and destination partners. Flavio is also a three-time recipient of HelmsBriscoe’s highest top producer award, the Rainmaker award, for having the highest revenue volume in the corporate market among all 1,400 HB Associates globally. Negotiating the best terms and conditions for his clients is not only second nature to Flavio, it’s what he has built his career on, and what he does best.
