Jean Travers joined HelmsBriscoe in 2004, and has since ascended to Senior Director, Global Accounts. With more than 35 years of industry experience and a hotel background in both operations and sales, Jean has an in-depth knowledge of revenue and profitability. This allows her to negotiate optimal contracts for her clients; addressing both their needs and budgets.

Jean began her hospitality career in 1981 as the Reservations Manger of the century-old Green Park Inn in Blowing Rock, NC. Continuing her education, Jean achieved her Associate’s in Hotel Restaurant Management in Asheville, NC, where she completed her internship at the Historic Grove Park Inn. Today, Jean assists clients with meetings, CME programs, and city-wide events in both the United States and International markets. She is a 15-year active member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI), and has had the pleasure of working with associations, corporations, churches, non-for-profits, fraternal, and education clients. Based on her professionalism and care of her clients, MPI-CC has awarded her the prestigious ‘Planner of the Year’ designation.
