Lisa Banka - Director, Global Accounts
Lisa Banka, Director, Global Accounts, joined HelmsBriscoe in 2006 and is located in Clarkston, Michigan. Lisa started her career in the hospitality/tourism industry after graduating college with a Hospitality Management degree. She managed two resort properties in a high-tourist environment: Traverse City, Michigan. After relocating to the suburbs of Detroit, she worked six years in hotel corporate sales. Those years prepared her for her next venture, HelmsBriscoe. Joining HelmsBriscoe was an easy decision, as she has transitioned from a specific hotel to continuing partnering with Clients doing site selection and contract negotiations in any hotel property.
With more than 20 years of hospitality industry experience, Lisa is confident in her ability and knowledge to plan and execute any type of event or meeting. She has handled all aspects of sales and catering from negotiations, contracts, and event planning, down to the smallest details. Her commitment is to her Client. To exceed their expectations is the only way she knows how to do business. This strong work ethic, along with HelmsBriscoe's technology, buying power, and industry relationships, earned her the President’s Club award in 2013.
