Liz Olson

Liz joined HelmsBriscoe in October 2008 after more than 20 years in the meeting and event management field. She started her career as a sales executive with Regent International Hotels, and while working with incentive companies to bring events to her hotels, she discovered a passion for meeting planning. Throughout her career, Liz has thrived in meeting planning positions with various third-party companies, planning all aspects of corporate and association meetings – from site selection and contracting, to budgeting and on-site operations. While managing an implant for American Express GTMS, she worked closely with the client’s corporate travel and procurement departments to identify internal clients, engage them, and evaluate meeting spend.

In 2000, Liz channeled her energy and entrepreneurial spirit into founding her own company, and planning, executing and managing successful events. Her company was known for exceptional client service and flawless execution, and clients praised her ability to meet their goals and objectives. Her extensive knowledge of the process of meeting planning allows her to transition these skills to her role with HelmsBriscoe. She will identify the ideal venue for her clients’ meetings, deftly negotiate contracts, and pull all the variables together – all while understanding each meeting from her clients’ perspective. Among clients and colleagues, she is known for her integrity, resourcefulness and highly-organized approach. Liz will give your meetings 110%, and will work toward creating a successful business partnership. A Chicago native, Liz now resides in Frisco, Texas with her husband and two daughters.
