Robert Cao, Vice President of Global Sales Development, joined the HelmsBriscoe Cruises Team in 2015 to lead the global reach into the cruise M.I.C.E (Meetings, Incentives, Corporate Events) market. Robert is a cruise expert originally from Cuba, and now based in Miami, Florida. His location keeps him close to all major cruise lines and cruise ship terminals in the South Florida area.
An accomplished travel and hospitality Sales Executive, Robert offers a dynamic, innovative and committed approach to developing business relationships. His sales outreach includes the United States, Europe, Asia, Australia Mexico, Central and South America. Robert’s passion for cruising and dedication to client service shines through as he pursues new strategic partnerships and business opportunities. He has held key sales management positions at major cruise lines. He began his cruise career at Royal Viking Line and has worked for Norwegian Cruise Lines as International Sales Manager covering the Asia-Pacific region, Orient Cruise Line and Premier Cruises as National Accounts Manager in the US. Before joining HB Cruises, Robert spent nine years at Club Med USA as Director of Sales and Marketing for the Corporate, Incentive, Charter and Group Sales Division. Robert has a key role in developing company-wide business strategy. He looks forward to sharing his vision and experience with fellow HB Associates and clients to increase HB Cruises market share and presence as the leaders of corporate meetings and events at sea. Robert is fluent in Spanish and English, and currently lives in Miami with his wife and two sons.
