Valerie Armbruster has been a member of the Washington, D.C. HelmsBriscoe team since 2007. Prior to joining HelmsBriscoe she spent more than 20 years in the travel agency sector, rising from the position of corporate travel agent to President & CEO of an independent agency affiliated with American Express. Her key position was directing a meetings and incentive division as well as overall responsibility of all agency operations. Joining HelmsBriscoe gave Valerie the opportunity to concentrate solely on the meetings and incentive industry.
Valerie works with corporate, association, government, and special interest groups. Her current portfolio includes domestic and international meetings and incentives, ranging from small - midsize meetings to five-star international incentive programs. Extensive travel throughout the world has given her the unique advantage of firsthand destination knowledge and familiarity, as well as a keen understanding of all stages of the development and onsite implementation of meeting and incentive programs. Coupled with site selection and contract negotiation expertise with hotels, cruise lines, airlines, tour operators, destination management, AV, entertainment and transportation companies, she is well positioned to handle meetings and events of all size and scope.
