Dries DeMare joined the HB International team in the Benelux, in November 2004. After his studies as interpreter, he started 15 years ago as a resident manager for Thomas Cook (Benelux and German market) in destinations such as Gran Canaria, Costa Brava, Greek islands (Aegina & Corfu) and Austrian ski resorts (Mayrhofen & Sölden). After his return to Brussels, he joined the tour operator Terre d´Afrique where he developed an endless passion for Africa. Trips to remote game parks in East and South Africa, and the climb of Mt Kilimanjaro, leading a group of engineers, will remain his best travel experiences. In 1999, Omnia Reizen in Leuven hired him to streamline their MICE department, develop new products and increase the incoming activities of the group.

      For Dries, HelmsBriscoe International is the ideal platform: huge buying power, a worldwide presence, and no 9 to 5 (more 5 to 9 - ? ! ). With patience and perseverance, he loves to provide assistance to his clients and colleagues in their site selection and contract negotiations, to the benefit of all parties. Dries and his wife Dörte have two young kids and live in the triangle Maastricht-Aachen-Liège, a perfect area to live for another of his passions: cycling. Ain’t no mountain high enough …
