Wendy K. Bassett joined HelmsBriscoe in 2005 with 20+ years of corporate meeting management experience. Her past experience is primarily related to the healthcare industry. Wendy has thorough knowledge of the challenges facing this industry in regard to the changing environment and mandates and how that affects budgets and meeting requirements. Wendy also assists clients in the government, education and technology fields. She understands and knows first hand the challenges that face organizations to continue to provide quality and yet the most cost effective meetings possible. At the same time Wendy realizes and values the partnership with HelmsBriscoe’s hotel partners and how that relationship benefits her clients. She will assist her clients in that endeavor with being the supreme source of negotiation and service throughout the meeting process that is made possible through HelmsBriscoe's buying power and global reach.
Wendy's past work experience has also included an emphasis in financial planning that is beneficial to clients in justifying and proving the worth of their meetings (ROI). Wendy is a member of Meeting Professionals International, Carolina Chapter and earned her Certified Meeting Professional designation in 2006. She currently resides in Hanahan, SC near Charleston.
