Jamaal Bailey

Jamaal Bailey joined HelmsBriscoe as Manager, Global Accounts in 2021. He has more than 20 years of experience executing meetings and events. Based out of the Washington, DC area, he is certified in meeting management by Indiana University and in digital marketing by Rutgers University. His relationships and knowledge of working with hotels will be the foundation of his dedication to his clients. Jamaal spent nearly 13 years of his career with the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, a nonprofit focused on advancing Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). He held various high-visibility positions within the organization, ultimately serving as Chief Marketing and Administrative officer. Jamaal executed more than 20 events per year, working with hotels to get the organization the best deals and experiences for its attendees. He began his career with the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., the oldest black fraternity. He directed efforts relating to membership development while also managing large-scale events throughout the country that drew more than 2,500 participants. Jamaal earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Virginia State University, an HBCU, and a Master of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Baltimore.
