José Germán Barrera

José Germán Barrera joined HelmsBriscoe as Manager, Global Accounts in 2025. Based out of Hannover, Germany, a major European trade fair city and strategic gateway to Europe, he specializes in supporting international delegations, companies, and organizations with seamless meeting and event solutions. His focus is on building bridges between people, businesses, and cultures, ensuring that every event benefits from both local expertise and global perspective. He was honored by the President of the University of Hannover for his academic achievements and community engagement. Languages and intercultural exchange are a personal passion, and he brings this spirit into every client partnership.

With more than 30 years of international experience, José has held leadership positions in business development, trade fairs, and international affairs. His background includes international service as part of the Argentinean Diplomatic Corps and the Hannover Trade Fair Company; Project Director for International Affairs at the official economic development agency of Hannover; and Founder of the International Business Lounge. He holds a Master of Arts in German Philology and Pedagogy from the University of Hannover, as well as certifications in corporate management and project leadership. José looks forward to applying his experience and network to help ensure every client’s event and delegation program is a success.
