Joan Jensen joined HelmsBriscoe as a Regional Manager in 1999 in Dallas, Texas. She began her career in the hospitality industry at the Westin Hotel Galleria, Dallas in Catering Sales. Three years later, she moved to the corporate side and worked for 11 ½ years as the corporate meetings and travel manager for JCPenney at their world headquarters in Dallas (Plano). Joan relocated to southern California in the summer of 2000, and was promoted within HelmsBriscoe to Regional Director in 2002 and to Senior Director of Global Accounts in 2009. She has received the President’s Club and Master’s Club awards while with HelmsBriscoe, which recognize top associates.

Joan’s clients appreciate her great attention to detail, willingness to “go the extra mile” when needed, and her planning advice (from her own meeting planning experience). They also appreciate the vast HelmsBriscoe knowledge that she can acquire from the HB network and associates worldwide. Joan feels that with her experience on “both sides” of the industry she has a keen insight into the needs and demands of a busy planner. She graduated from Iowa State University and still loves following college sporting events. She enjoys walking, biking and golf, and is an avid fan of all sports. Joan is married and has two children.
