Nick VanderKamp - Regional Vice President
Nicholas VanderKamp joined HelmsBriscoe as Director, Global Accounts in 2016, and is based out of Washington, DC. His focus is to build lasting relationships with his clients and use his years of industry experience to assist their organizations in achieving their goals and objectives. Nicholas is a dedicated partner, and his number one priority is serving his customer.
Nicholas is originally from Michigan, where he attended Ferris State University, as well as culinary school at the Secchia Institute for Culinary Arts. He moved to Washington, DC in 2005 to begin his hospitality career with Hilton Worldwide. Nicholas quickly rose through the ranks and was ultimately promoted into his final role as Director of Sales for the Hiltons of Washington, representing both the Washington Hilton and the Capital Hilton. While there, he worked with top association and corporate clients in booking some of the largest meetings in Washington, DC. He has been an active member of several industry associations, including AMPs, ASAE and SGMP. During his time with Hilton, Nicholas also served on the local CVB’s convention committee, working strategically to drive more group business into Washington, DC. Nicholas has extensive contract and property experience, as well as strong industry relationships that will benefit his clients going forward.
