Sonja Izaguirre joined HelmsBriscoe as Manager, Global Accounts in 2025. Based in Hampshire, near Basingstoke, she brings a wealth of experience in both the hotel industry and a range of other business sectors. With a strong track record in hotel sales, she notably elevated one property from 33rd to 3rd place in its chain’s league table within just nine months. Sonja has an extensive background in the hospitality industry and has worked across a variety of roles, including Front-of-House Manager and Sales & Marketing Manager positions in both independent hotels and large corporate properties. Her deep understanding of hotel operations and client service is complemented by her previous experience in industries such as IT, automotive, specialist lighting, property management, and weddings. In earlier roles, Sonja was responsible for organising a wide range of events, including meetings, conferences, sales launches, and publicity campaigns. This diverse experience has equipped her with a unique perspective on event planning and execution, as well as a strong appreciation of client needs and how venues operate.
