Valerie Jensen is a Regional Vice President with HelmsBriscoe. She joined as the 28th Associate in 1995. Valerie works with a wide variety of accounts in the association, corporate, government, and non-profit markets. She values her extensive professional relationships with hotels and vendors, and above all, with her valued clients. Her expertise in site selection and contract negotiations, combined with her attention to detail and consistent dedicated service to her clients, has allowed her to build long-lasting, trusted partnerships. Whether a group requires 10 or 10,000 sleeping rooms, or needs a domestic or international destination, Valerie’s extensive industry experience, savvy negotiation skills, long-term relationships in the convention industry, combined with HelmsBriscoe’s buying power and collective knowledge, assures her clients always receive the best venue at the very best pricing and terms in the most efficient manner, saving them considerable time and money. Her legal background in contract law provides an added layer of security for her clients, knowing they are receiving the benefit of her legal expertise when negotiating the detailed terms of a contract.
Valerie is a consistent HelmsBriscoe top-producing award winner, and has been recognized with the Rainmaker award (the top producer in the company), two Chairman’s Club awards, a Master’s Club award, and more than 20 President's Club awards. Prior to joining HelmsBriscoe, Valerie was with The Krisam Group, a hotel representation firm where she worked for 12 years, starting as a receptionist and departing as Senior VP of Sales. Valerie has traveled extensively since childhood and her favorite places include Italy, France, England, and the Caribbean. Some of her pastimes include cooking, traveling, reading, crossword puzzles and spoiling her Olde English Bull Dog Violet. She is the mother of a son, Simon, who is the light of her life. Simon is challenged with Autism, ADHD, OCD and Spastic Paraplegia Type 26. Valerie is involved in charity work for several challenged children’s organizations.
